Martti Lehti 

Martti Lehti is currently working at the Department of Social Research, University of Helsinki. He has conducted numerous studies on crime and criminal behavior, including homicide - both in Finland and in the Baltic States. Recent work focuses on the relationship between psychotropic drugs and homicide.


Janne Kivivuori

Janne Kivivuori studied sociology at the University of Helsinki where he received his PhD in 1994. Since 2000 he has been the Research Director of the criminological unit of Finland's National Research Institute of Legal Policy. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Social Research, University of Helsinki. His research has focused on delinquent behaviour, homicide, and methodology of crime measurement. He has published widely in criminological journals, such as British Journal of Criminology, European Journal of Criminology, and Journal of Scandinavian Studies in Criminology and Crime Prevention. Since 2010 he has been member of the Steering Group of the International Self-Report Delinquency Study.
