Anna-Maria Getos Kalac
Anna-Maria Getos Kalac is currently working as Associate Professor at the Chair for Criminal Law, University of Zagreb - Faculty of Law, where she teaches criminology, victimology, penology, and criminal law basics. Since 2012 she also heads the Max Planck Partner Group for Balkan Criminology and leads numerous research projects, including a nation-wide and regional study on homicides (Balkan Homicide Study), funded respectively by the University of Zagreb and the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law in Freiburg. Her work covers a broad range of subjects, including general criminology, ISRD3, violent and political crime in the Balkans, criminal law developments in Croatia, fear of crime and punitivity etc., whereas her most recent work focuses on mapping the criminological landscape of the Balkans.
